Educational Law

I. Applicable Disciplines and Majors

Educational Law (Disciplinary Category: Education; First-level Discipline: Education)

II. Training Objectives

    1.Master the basic theories and professional knowledge of Marxism, love the motherland, possess good moral character, strong sense of responsibility, innovative ability, and dedication, and be willing to serve the modernization drive of socialism as high-level, high-quality specialized talents.

    2.Grasp the solid foundational theories and systematic specialized knowledge within the discipline, and have the capability to engage in scientific research work or independently undertake tasks within the discipline. Proficiency in a foreign language is required.

    3.Emphasize the integration of theory and practice, and cultivate educational administrative personnel, school faculty, and management personnel related to education who possess knowledge in this and related fields, as well as capabilities in scientific research and management.

IV. Duration of Study

The standard duration of study is 2 years.

V. Curriculum and Credit Requirements (See Appendix)

The total credit requirement for courses is set at no less than 34 credits. General courses should account for no less than 6 credits, methodology courses for at least 4 credits, foundational discipline courses for at least 6 credits, major courses for at least 13 credits, elective courses for at least 4 credits, and social practice for at least 1 credit.

Note on Elective Courses:

Candidates from different first-level disciplines are required to take 2 prerequisite courses.

VI. Social Practice

Under the guidance of a supervisor, students are to conduct inspections, surveys, or internships after the completion of coursework, and submit an inspection report or thesis, which is worth 1 credit.

VII. Thesis Writing

During their studies, master's students are required to complete various types of theses, including: course papers, annual papers, and the degree thesis, which do not count towards credits. Forms of thesis may include: research reports, academic papers, special topic papers, case studies, etc. The selection of topics for theses should align with professional requirements and educational development, and should be forward-looking, making a contribution to the existing body of knowledge and providing reference value for educational practice. The thesis writing period typically spans from the eighth week of the third semester to the eleventh week of the fourth semester.
