The Ministry of Education andRenmin University of China Education Legislation Research Base was established in December 2017 through a collaborative effort between the Policy and Regulation Department of the Ministry of Education and Renmin University of China. The establishment of the base aims to implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, comprehensively promote the rule of law in education, further strengthen research on educational legislation, and form a synergistic innovation and concentrated research system. The base undertakes thematic tasks entrusted by the Policy and Regulation Department of the Ministry of Education each year, including special legislative research, expert consultation and research on draft legislation, and research reports on relevant legal issues. The head of the base is Professor Shen Suping from the School of Education.
